What is Aari Work Embroidery?

Aari work is golden and silver type of thread and fiber known as name of kasab. which embroidered decorate (cloth) by sewing patterns on it with thread. Aari hand embroidery is known as the name of Karchob and adda work doing by the artisan. It is the ornament of fabric including yarns, accessories and seldom by other beautifying elements. Aari work embroidery is the art of embellishing fabric or using different materials (mainly garments) by threads and needle. Employment of embroidery may also involve the use of different materials, such as metal strips, beads, pearls, sequins, and quills. Aari embroidery is principally made using various types of zari threads and silk. Aari work embroidery is a very intricate form of needlework and is faster to do than the hand embroidery and the effect is more luxurious, royal, rich and durable.
 

Origin and history

Aari embroidery work is a design of embellishment that has its pioneer origins in the Vedic period. Kalabattu is the name of its real method, in which yarns in real gold and silver colours of wires were worked to decorate silk, velvet and satin fabrics. Separate from it, different embellishing accessories, such as sequins, beads, pearls and precious and semi-precious marbles were also done. When it was at its peak of compliance, it was principally used by the Mughals and their royal families on wall hangings.
